Sturdy and easily goes together.

"Sturdy and easily goes together. As with all bunk beds, making the bed can be a challenge. I feel safe with kids using these beds"

Great quality/ instruction are pictures

"Had great Quality of Engineering as they also were very precise in how all pieces fit together. Had 3 sets delivered and expected there might be some damage from shipping as boxes are long and heavy. No Damage at all! It requires two people to carry boxes and put together. Took 2 1/2 hours on first bunk set, only 1 1/2 on second sets. Instructions are all pictures so be ready to make mistakes but go slow and double check each part install. First unbox all pieces and lay them out per pieces. The slated head boards are the trickiest to put together were you need two people. One to hold head board while other puts in slates, also I used small drill bit with torx tip that fit like supplied allen wrenches that take forever to screw in. Always start screws though by hand. Also never had to drill out anything of the 3 sets ordered as parts had very close specs in their construction. Use rubber mallet a few times and set tork low on drill if using to install bolts and screws. Also bought small angle brackets on Amazon that had white plastic covers and installed on upper bunk back legs to tighten up movement as heavier child would (slightly) cause getting into and out of upper bunk. When installing mattress slats pull one end as far as it will go before screwing in. I sent picture with angle brackets that was my option of putting on. (Two ) people!!!"

Love these Bunk Beds!

"Very happy with these bunk beds! Good quality and easy to assemble with clear instructions. Bought these for a guest bedroom for my summer home. The beds are reinforced with a metal bar so each upper or lower bunk can support 400 pounds each. Most bunks I looked at had a weight limit of 175 or 200 pounds per bunk. I also purchased the mattresses and mattress covers."

Colleen K. (5/5)

Great value, sturdy construction

"The bunks are sturdy and went together relatively easily!! All parts were there and clear instructions. My 4 boys ages 3-9 are all sharing a room so they can have a play room in the room next door! These beds look nice and are comfortable and sturdy enough for my growing boys!!"

Meghan L. (5/5)

Highly recommend.

"Extraordinary product. Very impressed with high quality. Strongly recommend. Price was very reasonable considering the quality of the product."

Label your hardware, please!

"These look nice and they feel sturdy. We purchased 2 sets to fill a bunk room at our beach rental. The ladders are narrow and definitely meant for kids or smaller people. We purchased 10""""Â mattresses instead of the suggested 8""""Â and they fit fine. My biggest gripe is the terrible instructions and lack of labeling of hardware. Of all the new furniture we put together for our home, Plank & Beam was by far the worst labeled - add time for mistakes and hissy fits due to the inconsistent labeling of parts."

Paul B. (4/5)

Buy It!

"I probably looked at one thousand beds before deciding- I don't write a lot of reviews, but I have to share how much we love this bunk bed. The quality is amazing. I thought it was really fun and easy to set up. It is beautiful. If you're trying to decide- Just go with this one!"

Kara C. (5/5)

We two 80year-olds had fun

"We two 80year-olds had fun assembling the numerous pieces. Took us 6 hours in the first one, 3 on the second. We are pleased with the quality of the wood and - once we got it- the instructions were fairly simple. Wish we didn’t have all those little number stickers, though. Guests have not arrived yet to try them out."

Q&A

What is the height of the space under the bed?
Hi Kamri! 11.93 Inches.
What is the top bunk rail height?
I'm excited to share that the Classic Twin over Twin Bunk Bed offers a generous 14" of space between the top of the slats on the top bunk and the top of the guard rail. This means that with a 5" mattress, you'll have a secure 9" of protection!
When you separate the beds so that there are two free standing beds do they look identical?
This bunk can be separated to form two free standing beds that look the same. Thank you, The Plank+Beam Team
If you detach the beds, will they look like a pair? The head and footboards of the top bunk look lower than the bottom. If you detach them do you use the two ends from the bottom as the two headboards and the two lower boards from the top as the foot boards?
Yes, this bed can be separated to create two identical free standing beds. You will need to use the bottom bunk end pieces for both headboard and the top bunk end pieces for both footboards. Thank you!
Can the ladder be installed at either end or must it be on the right as shown?
The ladder can be installed at either end to best fit your room. Thank you, The Plank+Beam Team
