The Core of It All
Our commitment to creating beautiful and obtainable solid wood furniture began over two decades ago when our founders (a Danish and German, husband and wife duo) set out to design their very first piece of furniture—a strong, safe, and attractive solid wood bed. We'll skip right to the good part and tell you they nailed it. But that's not the happy ending of this story, only the happy beginning.
Our dedicated production facility features state-of-the-art equipmentand a highly trained staff of furniture makers.
Every piece of Plank+Beam furniture begins with the same thing: carefully selected, quality wood.
The response they received from customers confirmed something they already suspected: the quality of solid wood furniture, paired with the convenience of online ordering and competitive pricing, resonated with modern shoppers. Inspired, they designed more products, grew their operations, and proudly established Plank+Beam, a brand with a name inspired by the raw materials that serve as the foundation of our craft.
Today, all products are still designed in-house and manufactured in our own dedicated facility. Our founders remain involved in every aspect of the business from design to distribution, working to provide you with exclusive, beautifully made solid wood furniture at the best possible price. Our goal remains the same as it has always been, to create functional furniture designed for real life, to make it from quality materials, and to make the process of buying furniture easy for our customers.
