"The bed arrived quickly, the fit and finish is great for the price point. Assembly was straight forward and the hardware worked well to secure the pieces. I added a 14 inch memory foam mattress which makes for a great height without the need for a box spring or riser."

"I was shocked what great quality this furniture was once we received it. An affordable price point, high quality output. We got the platform bed and 2 matching side tables for my son’s big boy room makeover. Putting it together wasn’t hard, 2 people helps when you get to the lateral bed side steps of the project. It doesn’t make loud creaking noises like a cheap wood bed usually has, and the finish on the wood is perfect for what we were going for. Doesn’t look cheaply done. The only thing is the smell. I thought we would rid of it sooner, but it has a manufactured smell maybe of the stain on the wood? I didn’t let my kiddo sleep in there for about a week to allow the material to off-gas and it’s still lingering months later. Bummer - but otherwise a great find! Shipping and delivery was primo. No breaks, imperfections or complaints there. Thanks Plank&Beam!"
"I like this bed frame more in person than I did on the site. Couple things to note. I found the directions easy to understand. I put this together myself in about an hour. I gave this 4 stars because the footboard was damaged and one of the wooden dowels on the headboard was broken completely off. I get mad every time I see the damage on the footboard but the thought of trying to deal with the hoops to get that replaced was not appealing."

Will try to contact customer service to see if we can get a replacement side rail. Overall, we are happy with our purchase. The quality is excellent and the finish is great!
