Gift Card Terms of Service
Services and Scope
Plank+Beam Furniture, Inc. (“Plank+Beam,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides Gift Card and Store Credit programs (the “Gift Card & Store Credit Services”) that allow customers (“Customers,” “you,” or “your”) to purchase, redeem, and manage Plank+Beam-issued gift cards and store credits.
These Terms and Conditions (the “Agreement”) govern the use, purchase, and redemption of all Plank+Beam Gift Cards and Store Credit. By purchasing, redeeming, or using a Gift Card or Store Credit, you agree to these Terms.
If these Terms are available in multiple languages, the English version will control in the event of any conflict.
Access and Use of the Gift Card & Store Credit Services
Gift Cards and Store Credit may be used only for the purchase of eligible products and services directly from Plank+Beam, in-store or online at www.plankandbeam.com.
Gift Cards and Store Credit:
Are non-transferable and non-refundable, except as required by law;
Cannot be used for resale, cash withdrawal, or illegal activity;
Are not redeemable for cash unless required by applicable state law; and
Must be used in accordance with these Terms and Plank+Beam’s Return & Refund Policy.
Plank+Beam reserves the right to suspend or cancel any Gift Card or Store Credit suspected of fraud, tampering, or misuse.
Compliance with Laws
Plank+Beam’s Gift Card & Store Credit Services comply with all applicable laws, including but not limited to:
The South Carolina Unclaimed Property Act (S.C. Code §27-18-10 et seq.);
The South Carolina Consumer Protection Code (Title 37); and
Relevant federal consumer protection and data privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and comparable laws of other jurisdictions.
Under South Carolina law, unused Gift Card or Store Credit balances do not expire and are not considered unclaimed property (§27-18-20(13)(b)). Plank+Beam does not charge inactivity, service, or dormancy fees on any Gift Card or Store Credit.
Gift Card & Store Credit Terms and Issuance
Plank+Beam is solely responsible for issuing, managing, and redeeming Gift Cards and Store Credit.
General Terms:
Gift Cards and Store Credit are not reloadable (except for returns).
They cannot be used to purchase other gift cards or settle prior balances.
They are non-refundable except as required by law.
Lost or stolen cards may not be replaced without valid proof of purchase.
All balances are maintained by Plank+Beam and securely funded.
Returns and Store Credit:
If you receive Store Credit instead of a refund, the value will be applied to your account for future purchases. All Store Credit issued in this manner is subject to these Terms.
Privacy & Data Handling
Plank+Beam Furniture values your privacy and complies with applicable privacy and data protection laws, including the South Carolina Financial Identity Fraud and Identity Theft Protection Act (SC Code §37-20-110 et seq.) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
A. Information We Collect
When you purchase or use a Gift Card or Store Credit, we may collect:
Your name, email address, billing, and shipping information;
Transaction data (amount, date, and method of payment); and
Any information necessary to fulfill a Gift Card order or customer service request.
B. How We Use This Information
We use collected data solely for legitimate business purposes, including to:
Process and fulfill Gift Card and Store Credit transactions;
Maintain accurate account and balance records;
Prevent fraud and unauthorized use;
Provide customer support and comply with legal obligations.
C. Data Protection and Security
Plank+Beam implements reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. Payment data is encrypted and processed through PCI DSS–compliant systems.
D. Sharing of Information
Plank+Beam does not sell customer data. Personal information may be shared only with trusted service providers who assist us in operating our business and are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
E. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to opt out of data sharing for marketing purposes. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@maxwoodfurniturefurniture.com.

Indemnification and Limitation of Liability
A. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Plank+Beam, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claim, damage, or loss arising from your misuse of Gift Cards or Store Credit or breach of these Terms.
B. Limitation of Liability
Plank+Beam’s liability for any Gift Card or Store Credit is limited to the remaining balance on the card or account. Plank+Beam is not responsible for unauthorized use, loss, or theft of a Gift Card or Store Credit once issued.
Plank+Beam Rights
A. Modification or Termination
Plank+Beam may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Gift Card & Store Credit Services at any time, consistent with applicable law.
B. Refusal of Service
Plank+Beam reserves the right to decline or void Gift Cards or Store Credit if misuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms is suspected.
C. Conduct
Abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behavior toward Plank+Beam staff or representatives may result in termination of your Gift Card or Store Credit privileges.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflicts of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts of Charleston County, South Carolina.
These Terms of Service are effective as of November 20, 2025
